On September 11, 2026, Klub V officially opened its doors at Stadionvej 81, 2600 Glostrup, creating a new meeting place where young people can come together, make friends, develop their talents and become part of a positive community.
The opening was celebrated with music, gaming, sport and activities, along with a special live dance performance from New Generation Dance DK (NGD).
MAYOR KASPER DAMSGAARD VISITS KLUB V
One of the special guests at the opening was Glostrup Mayor Kasper Damsgaard, who came to welcome the young people and gave a speech marking the occasion.
The mayor spent time at Klub V, watched the young dancers perform and experienced some of the different activities being arranged.
It was a great opportunity to show how sport, dance, music, gaming and youth work can be brought together under one roof. The mayor enjoyed seeing the activities and the positive atmosphere created by the young people, instructors and youth workers.
💃 NEW GENERATION DANCE DK PERFORMS LIVE
One of the highlights of the opening was a live performance by New Generation Dance DK – NGD.
NGD consists of young dancers approximately 11–18 years old. Many of the dancers have Ukrainian backgrounds and have made Denmark their home during the past few years.
Many come from Høje-Taastrup, while others travel from Roskilde, Copenhagen, Ishøj and Glostrup to practise and perform together.
Different cities bring them together rather than keeping them apart. Dance has become their common language.
The group is primarily taught and guided by Svitlana and her daughter Nicole, with additional teaching and inspiration from instructors including Marie and Maxim.
NGD focuses on hip-hop and urban dance, but their performances are about much more than choreography.
Through movement, the dancers express their moods, history and emotions. Their performances can tell stories about love, longing, friendship, family, Ukraine, Denmark and growing up between different cultures and experiences.
For NGD, dancing is also about giving something back to the communities that have supported them.
Different cities. Different stories. One dance family.
🕺 WEEKLY DANCE AT KLUB V
NGD’s involvement does not end with the opening performance.
Every Tuesday from 17:30–19:00, Nicole, assisted by Marie, arranges dance classes at Klub V.
The sessions give young people an opportunity to learn new moves, improve their dancing, meet other young people and express themselves through music and movement.
Experienced dancers can develop their abilities, while beginners have an opportunity to discover something completely new.
🎮 ESPORT, FIFA AND GAMING
Gaming and esport are also becoming an important part of Klub V.
Young people can meet for gaming, FIFA/EA Sports FC matches and esports activities, combining friendly competition with teamwork and social interaction.
Klub V is also represented in Vestegnens E-Sport League, where teams from around Vestegnen can compete and follow their rankings and results.
Gaming becomes more than sitting in front of a screen. It can be a way to make friends, learn teamwork, compete and represent your local community.
⚽ TUESDAY PANNA & STREET GAMES
Tuesday is also a day for Panna and Street Games, arranged with Anuy and Street Games.
Panna brings fast-paced street football into the Klub V environment, where young people can challenge one another, practise their skills and simply have fun.
The Street Games concept is based around making activities accessible. You don’t necessarily have to belong to a football club or organised team. You can come along, join a game and participate.
🎤 A MUSIC STUDIO FOR YOUNG CREATORS
Klub V also has a music studio, providing another important form of expression.
Young singers, rappers, musicians and aspiring producers can experiment with music, develop ideas and record their own material.
A young person might originally come to Klub V to play FIFA and discover an interest in making music. A dancer might meet a young producer and begin developing music for a performance.
These connections are part of what makes a youth environment exciting.
❤️ MORE THAN JUST ACTIVITIES
Klub V is managed by Viktor Hansen, assisted by a dedicated crew of youth workers and activity leaders from Glostrup and across West Copenhagen/Vestegnen.
The people behind Klub V are there for more than organising games and activities.
They are there to work with the young people, listen to their ideas, encourage their interests and help create opportunities.
Some young people already know exactly what they want to do. Others simply need somewhere positive to go after school.
At Klub V, there is room for both.
Young people can participate in gaming and esport, FIFA, Panna, Street Games, dance, music, sport and creative activities — or simply spend time with friends in a safe and welcoming environment.
🌟 THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING POSITIVE
The opening on September 11, 2026 was only the beginning.
Having Mayor Kasper Damsgaard present, watching NGD perform and seeing young people enjoying the different activities demonstrated what Klub V has the potential to become.
But the real story of Klub V will be written during the weeks, months and years that follow.
It happens when someone records their first song.
When a young dancer performs in front of an audience for the first time.
When somebody scores the winning goal in a Panna match.
When an esports team represents Klub V.
When somebody who arrived alone leaves with new friends.
And when a young person discovers a talent or interest they didn’t know they had.
That is the purpose of Klub V: to create opportunities, community and a place where young people can develop.
