CAMP FLOW 2026
Four unforgettable days of creativity, talent, friendship and international collaboration brought young musicians and dancers together in Ishøj, Denmark.
Ishøj, Denmark | October 10–13, 2026
Camp Flow 2026 proved to be an outstanding success as young musicians, singers, rappers, producers and dancers came together for four inspiring days of music, dance, creativity and cultural exchange.
Organised by IshøjUngdom (Ishøj Ungdomsskole) from October 10th to 13th, the camp brought together talented young people from across Denmark, alongside participants from Norway, Sweden and the Baltic region.
With more than 25 young music artists and approximately 20 dancers involved, Camp Flow became a vibrant meeting place for young people with different backgrounds, experiences and artistic ambitions. Public reports from Ishøj Ungdomsskole recorded 58 young participants and an additional 12 youth volunteers supporting the event.
Under the leadership of Ilknur Coban and David Dieu, Camp Flow provided much more than traditional music and dance instruction. It created an environment where young people could learn from professionals, develop their artistic abilities, form new friendships and experience the excitement of working together towards a major live performance.
Music: From Creative Ideas to Live Performances
One of the camp’s greatest achievements was its ability to bring together young musicians with different musical styles, languages and cultural influences.
More than 25 young artists participated in activities involving rap, R&B, singing, songwriting, music production and performance development.
Some arrived with experience performing on stage, while others were still discovering their musical identity and developing their confidence.
Working alongside mentors, producers and fellow artists, the participants had opportunities to exchange ideas, experiment with sounds, develop lyrics and create original music.
The international dimension added something special to the experience. With musicians travelling from different parts of Denmark and guests from Norway, Sweden and the Baltic region, Camp Flow became a meeting place for young Scandinavian and European talent.
The experience demonstrated how music can connect young people across borders, regardless of language, nationality or background.
Dance: New Generation Dance Brings Energy and International Talent
Dance played an equally important role in the success of Camp Flow 2026.
Approximately 20 young dancers participated, including members of New Generation Dance (NGD), a youth dance troupe based in the Høje-Taastrup area.
Many of the New Generation Dance members originally come from Ukraine and have settled in Denmark with their families in recent years.
For these young dancers, Camp Flow represented an opportunity to continue developing their talents, build friendships and become part of a larger creative community.
Under the guidance of Nicole and Mariya, the dancers worked on choreography, movement, teamwork, stage presentation and performance skills.
The dance workshops combined discipline and artistic expression with encouragement and collaboration. Participants could challenge themselves, learn new routines and gain confidence in their abilities.
New Generation Dance brought energy, dedication and an international perspective to the camp, helping demonstrate how dance can create connections between young people from different cultures.
Their participation also highlighted the importance of giving young people who have relocated to Denmark opportunities to participate in meaningful cultural and social activities.
Four Days of Learning, Friendship and Community
Although the music and dance workshops were central to Camp Flow, some of its most valuable achievements took place outside the classrooms and rehearsal spaces.
Young people who had never met before shared meals, exchanged experiences, supported each other during rehearsals and developed friendships.
The camp included workshops, creative activities, talks, performances and opportunities to interact with experienced artists and industry professionals.
One of the featured guests was FIGI, a young artist invited to share insights into her musical journey and creative development.
The camp demonstrated that artistic education is not only about technical ability. It is also about confidence, communication, responsibility, teamwork and learning to appreciate the talents of others.
For many participants, the experience was an opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, perform alongside unfamiliar artists and discover new possibilities for their futures.
The Grand Finale at Kulturium Musikteater
The highlight of Camp Flow 2026 was the final performance on Tuesday, October 13th, at Kulturium Musikteater, located in Ishøj Bycenter.
After four days of rehearsals, songwriting, production and choreography, the young performers had an opportunity to present their work on a professional stage.
The finale brought the music and dance elements of the camp together, giving participants an important opportunity to showcase what they had been developing.
For the young artists, performing at Kulturium represented more than simply completing a workshop. It was an opportunity to experience the excitement, responsibility and confidence that come with presenting their creativity to an audience.
The free public event also provided an opportunity for families, friends and the wider community to support the next generation of performers.
Leadership, Volunteers and Collaboration Made the Difference
Behind every successful youth event is a dedicated team of organisers, instructors, mentors and volunteers.
Camp Flow 2026 benefited from the leadership of Ilknur Coban and David Dieu, whose work helped bring together young people, instructors and creative professionals for an ambitious four-day programme.
The support of youth volunteers was another important part of the camp’s success. Public reporting highlighted the involvement of 12 young volunteers who contributed to the organisation and operation of the event.
Camp Flow was organised by Ishøj Ungdomsskole in collaboration with Kulturium, Ishøj Kulturskole and ARKEN Museum for Samtidskunst.
These partnerships demonstrated the value of cooperation between youth organisations, cultural institutions and the wider creative community.
Why Camp Flow 2026 Was Such a Success
Camp Flow achieved success on several important levels.
Artistic development: Young musicians and dancers were given the opportunity to strengthen their abilities through practical workshops, mentoring and live performance experience.
International exchange: Participants from Denmark and neighbouring European countries shared musical influences, ideas and experiences.
Integration and inclusion: Young people from different cultural backgrounds, including Ukrainian dancers now living in Denmark, participated in a shared creative environment.
Personal development: Participants developed confidence, independence, communication skills and the courage to express themselves.
New friendships and networks: The camp helped establish relationships between young artists who may continue collaborating long after the event.
Youth participation and responsibility: Young volunteers contributed to the success of the camp and gained valuable experience supporting a major cultural event.
Community engagement: The final performance at Kulturium connected the participants with families, friends and the local community.
Building the Next Generation of Creative Talent
Camp Flow 2026 demonstrated what can happen when young people are given the facilities, encouragement, professional guidance and freedom to develop their talents.
For four days, Ishøj became a meeting place for aspiring singers, rappers, producers and dancers from different parts of Denmark and beyond.
The participants arrived with individual ambitions, but they became part of something larger: a community built around creativity, respect, friendship and shared experiences.
The success of Camp Flow was not measured only by the number of participants or the performances at the final concert. Its greatest achievement was the opportunity it gave young people to discover their potential, connect with others and believe in their creative futures.
Camp Flow 2026 was more than a music and dance camp. It was a celebration of young talent, international friendship and the power of creativity to bring people together.
And with the enthusiasm, commitment and talent demonstrated throughout the four days, Camp Flow has shown why initiatives like this deserve continued support and development.
