Saint Kairo, born Junior Lee Conteh, is a British–Sierra Leonean artist whose multicultural upbringing deeply shapes his sound. He was born in the Canary Islands and relocated to the United Kingdom at the age of two. At seven, he moved with his parents to Spain, spending his formative years in Barcelona before relocating again at thirteen to Kolding, Denmark.
Before music became his primary focus, Junior was heavily involved in football, playing youth soccer for KB as both a midfielder and striker. Around the age of fifteen, he began making music with friends, gradually honing his craft on the streets and through close creative circles.
Drawing from his ethnic heritage and global experiences, his music naturally blends Afrobeats, R&B, and Hip-Hop, enriched by a deep appreciation for jazz and other rhythm-driven genres. Saint Kairo, born Junior Lee Conteh, is a British–Sierra Leonean artist whose sound is rooted in global culture and rhythmic storytelling. Born in the Canary Islands, he moved to the United Kingdom at the age of two before relocating to Spain with his family at seven. He spent his formative years in Barcelona, later moving to Kolding, Denmark at thirteen—an upbringing that exposed him to a wide spectrum of cultures, sounds, and influences.
